Creating and Implementing a Strategic
Plan
A public-private partnership focused
on workforce development came to Freedman Consulting, LLC, to design a strategy
to help achieve its goals. The new initiative had a mission, but required an
organizational plan that could facilitate growth and help position the effort
as an issue-leader in its area. Freedman Consulting, LLC, engaged in an
extensive survey of the field, spoke to major stakeholders and collaborated
with the organization’s leadership to produce a comprehensive strategic plan to
help guide the organization from its launch to significant growth, consisting
of one, three and five-year benchmarks. Freedman Consulting, LLC, was
then brought on by the public-private partnership to offer ongoing
communications and strategic consulting in order to help implement pieces of
the strategic plan the firm developed.
Working with a Unique Technology
Start-Up
A philanthropically-supported
non-profit wanted to develop and market an innovative technology solution. Freedman Consulting, LLC, worked with the organization’s leaders to develop
long-term strategy, day-to-day communications advice and create a marketing
approach that would facilitate long-term success. The non-profit was unique in its field, and it relied on Freedman Consulting, LLC, to combine
expertise of policy, communications and strategy to develop a tailored
approach.
Landscaping a Complex Issue Area
A group of three foundations heavily invested in a complex
issue area wanted to know whether their efforts were succeeding, how they could
be more effective and where the issue was headed. Freedman Consulting,
LLC, spoke to dozens of stakeholders, including grantees and policymakers, in
order to develop a detailed landscape of the issue. The landscape helped
define key choices and opportunities over the near-term, suggested where
grantees were already effective and provided actionable suggestions for
improvement.
Managing an Innovative Event
A major foundation and a prestigious university wanted to
explore the concept of how values impacted public policy decisions in a
high-profile event with influential and recognized participants. Freedman
Consulting, LLC, was brought in to oversee all aspects of the event. The
firm secured a prominent host and worked with the partners to suggest event
topics and a unique approach to the discussion. Freedman Consulting, LLC,
then worked with partners and leveraged relationships to obtain a panel of
notable public and private sector leaders and national coverage on a major
television network’s website. After finalizing the approach and
developing briefings for use by the host and participants, Freedman Consulting,
LLC, ensured that the event was driven by the mission of the partners and obtained
national recognition for the series. |
